Open-Studio Clay

We're excited to announce that clay is now available as a creative option in our studio. Unleash your imagination and explore the endless possibilities of sculpting crafting with clay. We can't wait to see what you'll make! Please read the conditions to our new clay options for the studio. We do not accept walk-ins for clay-- bookings only.

Hand-Building

Join us for a hands-on experience in hand-building clay! For just $35, you'll receive a pound of clay to create your own masterpiece, whether it's a dish, tray, sculpture, or some other beautiful creation. Clay experience is preferred. For Children ages 7-12-- we will provide instruction. Otherwise for those with experience, this is not instruction-based. We will provide a basic instruction card and the tools necessary to ensure proper build but we do expect you have hand-building experience. To ensure your spot, please book your session at least 5 days advance. Unleash your creativity and enjoy the art of clay!

Pottery Wheel Throwing

This option is for ONLY those who have attended our "Intro To Pottery Course" and are comfortable expanding their experience more independently. This option is designed for those with good experience on the wheel so it is a requirement that you have attended our 4-week course first. This option is available for $200 and includes an ENTIRE bag of Cone 6 Clay. You must purchase your clay at least one week before you decide to come create. Glazing your pottery happens 2 weeks after you throw. Dates and times to create may be limited based on classes so the sooner you book the better.

Handbuilding Info

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Open Studio creating. You must be ages 7+ to participate in our hand-building. If you sign up your child-- you will be prompted to let us know that when you book so that we may provide instructions. Otherwise, for those with experience, our staff is here to answer questions while you work-- however some staff may not have clay experience to help you. We will provide an instruction card to refresh your knowledge and tools to help you create. Firing is a delicate and timed process, therefore, proper building is essential to your clay surviving the kiln. If your pottery does not survive the kiln, we do not offer store credit or refunds. You musts book your time slot to come in-- without it we may not have your clay prepared. If you cancel less than 24 hours before or no show we offer no rescheduled dates or refunds. You must come to glaze your project within the month or it becomes property of the Painted Pot. Times to book may be limited as we do run our studio on ceramic painting walk-ins and clay classes. Please be mindful of our staff and customers as we run our studio. We can't wait to see what you create!

Pottery Wheel Info

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Open Studio Pottery Wheel experience. You must be ages 17+ to participate in our pottery wheel experience. We require previous attendance in our 4-week "intro To Pottery Course" in order to participate in this experience. Booking times will be open while our clay instructor is in studio-- she is here to keep you on track but will lean more hands-off. We do not provide aprons. We will provide you with an entire bag of Cone 6 (High Fire) clay for $200. It is your choice what you do with it. However, the entire bag must be purchased. We do expect you to clean up after your area each time. Firing is a delicate and timed process, therefore, proper building is essential to your clay surviving the kiln. If your pottery does not survive the kiln, we do not offer store credit or refunds. Once you purchase your clay, you may simply reserve your time online to ensure no double-bookings occur and our wheels are open. You must come to glaze your projects within 60 days or it becomes property of the Painted Pot. Times to book may be limited as we do run our studio on ceramic painting walk-ins and clay classes. Please be mindful of our staff and customers as we run our studio. We can't wait to see what you create!
