Learn the fundamental techniques of pottery in this 4 week introductory course on Thursdays.
Service Description
This intro to the pottery wheel course is a 4 week series for those who want to learn more about the craft. Students will have 4 consecutive weeks to dive into the details of creating ceramic pieces. During this course, our goal is to become more comfortable with the pottery wheel, learn handle construction, and add their own artistic twist to their piece. With the guidance of our expert staff, Donna and Katie-- each student will leave with a unique set of hand crafted pieces. All materials and tools will be included.

Cancellation Policy
Pottery Course Policy: Currently all Classes and Event are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you do not show up we will not offer you a refund OR a rescheduled appointment. You may transfer your registration to another person at no cost. Prepare to Get Messy: Throwing pottery is no clean way of art and our goal is to get you messy! We do NOT provide aprons. If this is a concern, you may want to bring a change of clothes or bring your own apron. We have a private bathroom available for changing. Please not fake nails and wheel throwing do not mix! Studio Etiquette and Missed Classes We are inviting you to be part of this messy and fun course- however we do still run our studio for walk-in painting and host other events so we ask that you value the people around the workspace and listen to our instructors. If you cannot make a class session please call us at 636.300.4515 at least 48 hours before the next class and we may find time to reschedule you in a timely manner. Cancellations within 2 days of the class are not refundable. Classes are ages 17+ Firing Finished Pieces and the Kiln Each class entitles you to a number of finished pieces. It is our goal to fire all of your work but that number depends on the artist and the construction of the clay piece. Our goal is to fire a handful of clay pieces for you to take home. Work from classes has a 2 week turn around. We have a handful of glazes to select from in a variety of colors, we do not allow external glazes for our class series. All cancellations must be made directly with management of The Painted Pot via phone at 636.300.4515.
